Choosing What Brings Us Alive. A 7-day in-person, bilingual workshop in English and Spanish
Barra de Navidad, Mexico
February 21- 27, 2027
The capacity to wake up, be present and respond to whatever each moment is asking of us is the foundation of Sensory Awareness practice. This leads to more freedom, ease and joy even in the midst of difficulty. As we focus on and nourish what brings us alive, we can release what depletes and drains us. In this workshop through simple, direct explorations of our sensory experience, we will discover our capacity to rest, to be in connection, to meet what hinders us, and to trust in what enlivens us.
There will be ten 3.5-hour sessions conducted bilingually in English and Spanish over the 7 days, and ample time to explore the town, rest on the beach and swim in the ocean. This week in Mexico is an opportunity to pause, recalibrate, and replenish.
Housing and Food: Accommodations are ample and varied in the town ranging in price from $30/night to $200/night and there are many outdoor restaurants and grocery stores.
Transportation: Manzanillo International Airport is a 20-minute taxi ride to Barra de Navidad, Jalisco.
About Barra de Navidad: This is where Lee took her first workshop in Sensory Awareness, and she has been studying and teaching here since 1970. Barra de Navidad is a small, friendly fishing village on the West Coast of Mexico in the State of Jalisco. We generally walk from place to place in the town, from the beach to the lagoons filled with birds, to the weekly artisan and crafts market.
Tuition: $745
* Veterans and Wildland Firefighters are welcome to participate on a sliding scale from $0 to anything you would like to offer.
* Everyone is welcome no matter the capacity to pay. Just contact Lee
