Cultivating a Path to Stability in an Unstable World

September 28, 2026 @ 8:00 am - June 1, 2027 @ 12:00 am PDT

An 9-month journey in a community of Sensory Awareness practice.

Online September 28, 2026 – June 21, 2027

This 9-month journey opens a vital, unfolding path that guides us into what we can do, rather than being trapped or overwhelmed by what we cannot do.

In each moment we have the opportunity to be present and to let our energy rise to choose life over and over. It is through our openness to respond in the midst of change that we can find stability in the midst of instability. There is no place we can live our lives other than in the moment. Every moment offers a new possibility for responding to what is being asked of us and what is being offered to us. Our response opens the door to how we affect the world around us and honor this precious gift of life.

In our community of practice, we will support each other to rely on our sensory experience as a source of renewal, sustenance, connection, and responsiveness. We will open to the challenges we are facing rather than deny or avoid them, and we will journey through grief to how our love wants to express itself.

We will support each other to recognize the urgency of these times and the need to slow down in order to connect and respond; to understand that there is no time to waste and overwhelm is not useful. Our practice is to let our hearts open, to be present and dedicate ourselves to the contributions we can each make. When we practice in community we cut through isolation and multiply our strength and our ability to be true to what we have to offer. Sensory Awareness practice brings us into the resource, refuge and possibility of each moment which is the only place from which we can respond and live.

Schedule:

9/28           Breath is Our Ally

With each breath we enter an intricately woven fabric of belonging and interbeing as we interact with each other and the world around us.

10/26           Are you doing anything extra?

Every moment, every situation, offers an opportunity to be present to what the moment is asking. The more we cultivate attentiveness, the more attuned and discerning we can become so that we can recognize more quickly the impact of our own attitudes and let go of unnecessary effort.

11/30           The Only Moment We Have

Wake up and value your life. Don’t throw away the precious moments you have! Understand that each moment is “the only moment” and will never come again.

12/28           Obstacles Are the Path

When we recognize that obstacles on our path are presenting us with a moment of choice, we can either shut down or open to possibility. No matter what obstacles we are facing, when we recognize that they are what life is presenting us as our path in this moment, we can find in them and with them the way forward.

1/25           Seeds of Resilience

We plant the seeds of resilience as we recognize and heal what holds us back from life, and we cultivate that resilience by discovering what enlivens us and connects us to each other and the world we live in.

2/15           Thriving in Uncertainty

Facing uncertainty in our life and in the world is unavoidable, and knowing how to respond in a way that leads us back into balance and connection is part of thriving rather than collapsing.

3/22           Not Knowing is Most Intimate

When we are not bound by expectations, ideas, beliefs, desires, habits—by what we want or don’t want to be a certain way—we enter the richness of not knowing, intimacy with the present moment just as it is in its own unfolding.

4/26           There is Nothing My Heart Can’t Hold When Open

Acknowledging our pain and grief is the beginning of fully reclaiming our lives and opening a path of engagement and possibility.

5/24           Honoring Our Mortality

Whether it is in the final hours of our lives, or every day, in each moment we have the opportunity and capacity to heal our regrets, repair our relationships, and wake up to love.

6/21            Sing Your Song

The choices that we make each day, the song we choose to sing, are what makes the difference in the chorus we are composing together.
