Thriving in Uncertainty. In-person workshop
8-day in-person retreat in Valle de Bravo, Mexico
March 6 -13, 2027
Fee: $895
Each day we seem to be faced with new challenges and growing uncertainty. As much as we try to create predictability every moment brings its own unique surprise, its own offering and its own request of us. The more we show up to meet the moment just as it is, the more we can thrive in the midst of uncertainty. And the more we can bring the best of ourselves to respond to what is needed. Our sensations are wonderful allies in this process. As we rely on breathing and return to our senses, we can find freedom in the midst of any experience. Change is a constant in all of our lives. Sensory Awareness practice can help us meet change with curiosity and presence rather than with constriction or tightness. In this way we can live with openness, connection and joy even in the midst of grief, loss or sadness. This week in Mexico is an opportunity to pause, recalibrate, and replenish.
There will be twelve 3 hour sessions conducted in English over the 8 days.
Housing and Food: Accommodations are ample and varied in the town ranging in price from $40/night to $70/night to $200+ and there are many restaurants and grocery stores.
Transportation: Valle de Bravo is located about 87 miles southwest of Mexico City, about a 2 to 2.5-hour drive or bus ride. Zina Bus Company has buses that leave about once an hour from Terminal Poniente – Observatorio bus station in Mexico City.
About Valle de Bravo: Valle de Bravo is a picturesque “Pueblo Mágico” (Magical Town) in the State of Mexico. Nestled in pine-covered mountains beside Lake Avándaro, it is renowned for its cobblestone streets, colonial-era architecture. The historic center features whitewashed buildings, red-tiled roofs, and narrow, flower-lined cobblestone lanes. There are art galleries and artisan markets. At Lake Avándaro, you can take boat tours, kayak, sail or water ski. For people who want to add some other adventures you can go paragliding or Hang Gliding. The Monarch Butterflies are migrating at this time of the year, and can be seen at the nearby Piedra Herrada Butterfly Sanctuary.
